Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 September 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Aissia is a Mac app for dictation and AI help with text, with a website at aissia.com. It is provided by Has.Pet Ltd., a company incorporated in the Republic of Cyprus, company registration number HE492821, registered office KPMG Center, 1st Floor, Agias Fylaxeos Street 1, 3025 Limassol, Cyprus ("we", "us"). Contact: support@aissia.com. Full details are in the Legal notice.

These terms apply when you download, install or use Aissia, start a trial, or buy a subscription. By doing any of these you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Aissia.

Purchases are made through Stripe. Has.Pet Ltd. sells the subscription to you. Payment runs through Stripe's Managed Payments service, and Stripe (the Stripe company named at checkout and on your receipt, "Stripe") acts as merchant of record for the transaction: it takes payment, charges applicable taxes, issues invoices and processes refunds and chargebacks. Stripe's terms shown at checkout apply to the payment; these terms govern your subscription and your use of Aissia.

Your mandatory consumer rights. Nothing in these terms limits any right that the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you and that cannot lawfully be waived. Where these terms conflict with such rights, those rights prevail.

2. Requirements

Aissia runs on Macs with Apple Silicon and macOS 14.2 or newer. Some features need macOS permissions you grant yourself: Microphone and Accessibility to start with, and Screen Recording later, only if a feature you turn on needs it. AI help needs an internet connection and an AI service (section 7). Speech recognition runs on your Mac and downloads speech models the first time you use them.

3. Your Aissia account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Aissia. You can dictate during the trial without an account. An Aissia account is needed to continue after the trial on this Mac, to use a subscription, and to use AI help. You sign in with Google; we receive your email address and an account identifier (see the Privacy Policy). Keep access to your Google account secure; you are responsible for activity under your Aissia account. One person per account; a Pro subscription can be used on up to two Macs of the subscriber.

4. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Aissia on Macs you own or control, for your personal or internal business use, in line with these terms and the plan you are on. Except where the law expressly allows it despite this term, you may not:

Aissia includes open-source components and downloads third-party speech models; their own licences apply to them.

5. Trial and Free plan

Trial. You can try Pro once, for 14 days. No card is required. The trial starts the first time you open Aissia on a Mac. Creating new accounts or resetting your Mac to get further trials is not allowed.

After 14 days. When the trial ends you move to Free unless you buy Pro. Nothing is charged when a trial ends, because no payment details are collected for it.

Free plan. Free includes local dictation of up to 3,000 words per week, with punctuation and filler-word cleanup within that allowance, plus keyboard-layout correction, basic typo fixes and your personal dictionary. The allowance renews weekly; unused words do not roll over.

6. Pro subscription

What Pro adds. Everything in Free, plus unlimited local dictation, rewriting (shorten, change tone, make text sound natural), translation of selected text, and smart replies that use window context. After the trial, rewriting, translation and contextual replies need Pro wherever the text came from, including text from another dictation app.

Price and taxes. Pro is sold monthly or yearly. The price, the currency, the billing period and any applicable taxes (such as VAT, charged by Stripe) are shown at checkout before you pay, and those details form part of your contract. Yearly plans are charged as one payment for the year.

Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same period at the end of each period, and the payment method you gave at checkout is charged the then-current price, until you cancel.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in the Stripe customer portal, which opens from "Manage subscription" in Aissia's settings and from the link in your receipt email. Cancelling stops all future charges; Pro stays available until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which you move to Free.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will tell you in advance, as required by law, before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does. A price change never affects a period already paid for.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry the charge and we may suspend Pro until payment succeeds. If it does not, the subscription ends and you move to Free.

Refunds, chargebacks and access. If a payment is refunded or charged back, Pro ends for that period. Your dictionaries, history, recordings and settings stay on your Mac - Aissia does not delete them when access changes. Please contact support@aissia.com before starting a chargeback; it is usually faster.

7. AI services

AI help (cloud commands) runs only when you ask for it: while you hold the cloud-command key (Right Option by default), or when you confirm "Create notes" after a meeting. Holding the key sends your request straight away; Aissia tells you about this during setup, and ordinary dictation is never sent. It then sends your instruction - as text recognised on your Mac, never audio - and information about the open window and its text, or the selected text, or a meeting transcript, to an AI service. You choose the service in Aissia's AI settings:

AI output can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. Aissia shows drafts for you to review; you decide what to send or insert and you are responsible for it. Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions without checking it.

8. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Consumers in the EU, EEA and UK - right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. Pro is a digital service supplied immediately on purchase. At checkout you (a) expressly request that we start supplying it before the 14-day withdrawal period ends and (b) acknowledge that, if you withdraw, you may have to pay for the service supplied up to the time you tell us, to the extent the law allows. Where these conditions are not met, or the law provides otherwise, your statutory right of withdrawal applies in full. To withdraw, email support@aissia.com with your account email and a clear statement that you are withdrawing.

Our refund policy. Outside the statutory rights above and any refund required by law, payments are non-refundable: you can cancel at any time (section 6), which stops all future charges, but amounts already paid for the current or a completed period are not automatically refunded. We may refund a payment in whole or in part at our discretion - for example to correct a billing or duplicate-charge error. Stripe may also refund a purchase within 60 days under its own refund policy for Managed Payments, even where our policy would not.

To ask for a refund or to withdraw, write to support@aissia.com or use the support link in your Stripe receipt. As Merchant of Record, Stripe processes refunds and chargebacks and pays refunds to the original payment method. This does not limit any rights you have under the law of your country.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use Aissia to:

10. Your content

Your recordings, transcripts, dictated text and the text you send for AI help remain yours. We need no licence to them for local features, which run on your Mac. For cloud operations through Aissia's servers you allow us and our AI providers to process that content only to perform the operation you asked for and as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Updates and availability

We may update Aissia to fix problems, keep it secure or change features, and we may add, change or remove features. Some updates may be needed to keep using cloud features. We aim to keep Aissia and Aissia's servers available but do not promise uninterrupted service. Third-party services (Google sign-in, OpenAI, Anthropic, model hosts) are outside our control. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Warranty and liability

Aissia is provided as it is, to the extent the law allows. If you are a consumer, you keep the statutory rights your country gives you for digital content and services; nothing in these terms limits them.

We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss of business or profit if you use Aissia for business, or for loss caused by third-party services. Otherwise, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Aissia in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

13. Ending these terms

You can stop using Aissia and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, with notice where the law requires it. If we end a paid subscription for reasons other than your breach, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.

You can delete your Aissia account at any time; see the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when features, prices or the law change. Where the law requires it, we give reasonable advance notice of material changes in the app or by email to your account address. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change applies.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to Aissia (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
